Elijah Craig is putting an elevated twist on a beloved holiday tradition with the launch of “Craig Nog,” our new limited-edition, luxury eggnog cocktail designed using our award-winning Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon. Craig Nog takes the nostalgic flavors of eggnog and raises the bar with superior ingredients like Madagascar Vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, and is topped with star anise adorned in gold glitter and a Bourbon barrel aged stir stick. The decadent ingredients are anchored by the proof and bold flavor of Elijah Craig Bourbon to create a deliciously well-balanced holiday cocktail.
The Craig Nog cocktail kit, available to order nationwide, provides an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the season while handcrafting your new signature holiday drink at home. It also makes the perfect gift! Each cocktail kit features a 375ml bottle of Elijah Criag Small Batch Bourbon, premeasured portions of each of the Craig Nog eggnog ingredients and a limited-edition etched Elijah Craig pitcher, the perfect keepsake for remaking your Craig Nog for seasons to come. Throughout December, those based in New York City and Chicago can also enjoy Craig Nog in pre-batched and ready-to-enjoy cans by ordering through the Doordash app or website. Craig Nog Recipe

Ingredients
- 375ml bottle Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp crushed allspice
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ tsp Madagascar Vanilla Extract
- Yields: 28 oz. without Bourbon, 40 oz. with Bourbon added
Method (approximately 20-30 mins):

- Begin by whisking the egg yolks and sugar in a medium bowl until creamy
- Combine cream, milk, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and salt into a pot and place over medium heat. Stir frequently until barely a simmer is reached
- To your egg and sugar mixture slowly add a small ladle full of the cream mixture, whisking the entire time. Repeat this process until most of the cream mixture has been added to the eggs
- Return everything to the pot and place over medium heat. While continuously stirring, bring the mixture up to 165ºF and the desired thickness is reached
- Turn off the heat, add the vanilla extract and mix
- Strain the mixture through a fine strainer into the pitcher to remove any large and whole spices
- Let the mixture thoroughly chill in the refrigerator. Recommended chill time is 4-6 hours
Single Cocktail Serve:
- 1.75 oz Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
- 4 oz eggnog mixture
- Suggested garnish: star anise pod and cinnamon stir stick
- Suggested glassware: Irish coffee mug
Method:
- Measure out 4 oz of chilled eggnog into your glass
- Measure out 1.75 oz Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon to your glass and stir vigorously with a whisk before serving
- Garnish your glass and enjoy
Batch Serve (makes 7-8 cocktails):
- Add 375 ml bottle of Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon to your pitcher of eggnog, mix and serve
- Recommended shelf life is 5-7 days without the Bourbon added
- With the Bourbon added, it is recommended that the cocktail be consumed immediately for best taste, but no longer than 6 hours after adding
